my blue bird

This is my latest, I've been playing with mixed media a bit more
or maybe too much...
The stamp in the top right hand corner is from one of my dad's old letters.
The envelope is dated 12:15am 20 May 1966

owl on brown paper

I really enjoy painting owls - they've definitely popped up in quite a few of my paintings. This fellow isn't exactly anatomically correct, but I like him even the more for it. I'm not sure if you can see in the background there is a female kissing his head with her hair draped about him (I'm thinking dark brown). It's only lightly sketched in pencil as I'm not sure whether it will work or not !?

'Babies' Trailer - Official Movie (2010)

I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie/doc.
The world is still so diverse.
As with most things the beginning and the end in particular is INCREDIBLE !

who will feed the birds ?

I had great fun playing with this girl's clothes and hair.
I like the idea of taking time and being a part of nature, maybe she started out sitting and feeding the birds wearing a simple floral dress. By the time she left she had attracted some friends... who decided to stay.

A,B,C

I'm teaching my twin 4 year old boys how to write their names and other important things in life (like peeing IN the toilet - we are no-where near putting the toilet seat down !!).

I found this vinyl sticker and LOVE it. There are loads of cute stickers at

Janey.Mac's shop at Etsy and great pricing.

I hope Janey.Mac doesn't mind me using her image - but I will let her know AND it is a very nice, free plug  ;-)

Nothing in life is free

Explaining to my 6 year old daughter that nothing in life is free, we came up with this illustration, which we believe says it all.
...
I have yet to figure in "The best things in life are free"...

Etsy Prints

I have finally gotten organised and had some limited prints of my art works professionally printed, they are now available in my Etsy Shop.

Including the above image, they are printed on 'Free life' Vellum PH neutral 280gsm heavyweight paper using polomerised toner. And are on an A4 size heavyweight paper with a white border for framing.

I've been doing a course that has kept me out of the studio, it's now finished and
 I'M BACK !!
